Acer Northwoods

The red maple, Acer rubrum. The most common and plentiful deciduous tree in all of the Northwoods.

In the spring, the red maple gives us its sap for energy. No artificial gels are necessary when you have nature’s best fuel in maple syrup.

In the summer, the red maple’s branches and leaves intertwine to create a green canopy over the rolling dirt roads, providing a cool and shaded hug to all who venture out.

In autumn, the red maple’s leaves ignite the forest in a blaze of color— changing from green, to bright red in a celebration of the year’s accomplishments.

In winter, the red maple’s timbers season quickly to warm you on the coldest of nights.
